Three students, three perspectives – and three exciting projects at the IPM

In the summer of 2026, the Institute for Process Technology, Process Automation and Measuring Technology (IPM) at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences welcomed three international students who were placed via IAESTE for paid, subject-related internships.

Hussein Aldalou developed a cooperative sequence in which two AgileX-LIMO robots jointly search for and pick up an object.

Karma Ajaj implemented a sensor-based system for the automatic speed control of a vehicle on a Carrera Digital 132 racetrack.

Ema Taskovska created a detailed 3D model of the vacuum liquid ice plant of the AQVA-HEAT project. This made the complex processes inside the plant clearly visible for research, teaching, and science communication.

Their work shows how international internships combine technical expertise, new perspectives, and intercultural exchange. In addition to intensive work in the laboratory, the students explored the region and various European cities together. This resulted in friendships and connections that extend far beyond the internship period.
