Work
The work experience was very enriching and gave me the opportunity to develop both my technical and personal skills. I was given a great deal of autonomy in carrying out my tasks, which encouraged me to take responsibility for my work and learn how to manage things independently. I was also given the freedom to make mistakes, understand what went wrong, and correct myself. I found this to be a very effective way of learning, as it helped me develop a more critical and independent approach to my work. Overall, I learned a lot throughout the internship and gained valuable experience that I will carry with me in my future studies and professional career.
Experience
One of the most unexpected parts of this experience was finding a second home so far from my own. It is crazy how a new place can suddenly start feeling like home simply because you meet the right people. I had the chance to meet incredible people who made me step out of my comfort zone and live some unforgettable moments. We travelled together, discovered new places, spent long nights on FlixBus, and had more than a few stressful runs to catch the bus! Looking back, those little chaotic moments are some of the memories I will remember the most. Beyond the internship itself, the people I met made this experience truly special and showed me that sometimes, home is not only a place—it can also be the people you share it with.
Discover
This internship taught me much more than I ever expected. I learned that sometimes, the things you fear the most are exactly the things that shape you into who you are. I used to be afraid of socializing. I would overthink even the simplest word before saying it. And then, somehow, that same fear turned into karaoke nights, singing *Waka Waka* with people I had just met, and standing in front of a room full of people without thinking twice. Looking back, that change still feels a little crazy to me. I also learned that the sky really is the limit. Being in a new environment, surrounded by people from different backgrounds, made me realize that I am capable of much more than I had imagined. It changed the way I see my studies too. I discovered what it truly means to do research: trying, failing, questioning, getting frustrated, sometimes feeling angry because the solution seems impossible, and then experiencing that incredible moment of relief when everything finally works. Most importantly, I learned patience. Not everything has an immediate answer, and not every failure means you are going in the wrong direction. Sometimes, you simply need to keep going. I came back from this internship with more than new skills. I came back knowing that I should not let fear decide what I am capable of doing. Some of the things I was most afraid to try became some of the memories I am most grateful for.
