Work
At the time of writing, I am still doing my internship, having completed more than half of it. I'm working for GlobalLogic Slovakia, as a trainee software engineer. Currently, I am working on a project that involves the development of an Android application for healthcare purposes. It's something I haven't had much experience with up until now, so I have the opportunity to learn and improve. My colleagues are all very helpful and always ready to answer my questions. I feel like the work I do is quite meaningful and I really enjoy it. I can only look forward to the remainder of my internship.

Experience
I'm living in a dormitory for international students, and after work, I usually hang out with my roommates and neighbours. Košice is a beautiful city, and Slovakia overall is a country which has something to offer everyone. I've had the opportunity to travel quite a bit, both around Slovakia as well as the neighbouring countries. During the summer there were many fun events organized by IAESTE, in different places and cities, and I made many great memories. My friends from IAESTE are all amazing people, and I'm really glad I got to meet them. :)
Discover
This is my first time living abroad, and it didn't come without its own set of challenges, but thanks to the help of my kind colleagues and IAESTE members I was able to overcome each and every one of those. Interacting with people from different cultures made me more open-minded and communicative. I've totally stepped out of my comfort zone, and I've learned how to adapt to new situations. Of course, I've already learned a lot from my internship, and I am positive that it will open some new doors for me. Altogether this has been the best experience of my life so far, and it goes without saying that I don't regret it a single bit.
