Work
During my internship, I worked mainly on CAD design and technical documentation related to electromechanical systems. I worked mainly on CAD design and technical documentation, but I also had the chance to get hands-on with some components and support on-site work. I was involved in engineering projects, which helped me improve both my technical skills and problem-solving. The experience had a big impact on me, it boosted my confidence and taught me how to work in a professional international environment.
Experience
Daily life during my internship was a great mix of work and free time. I lived in a calm neighbourhood, and commuted to the office located in Bromma, around 20 minutes by train. The Swedish work environment was really relaxed and supportive, we always had fika breaks with coffee and pastries, which made it easy to bond with colleagues. I didn’t have much time to travel, but I really enjoyed going for runs. Sweden is full of running trails and beautiful forests, so it was easy to stay active. Even though I had heard winter would be super cold and dark, it wasn’t as bad as I expected, not as much snow either! Still, the whole experience was pretty great and culturally enriching.
Discover
I noticed big differences in how things are done in Sweden, especially in the work culture and the strong focus on work-life balance. At my company, the well-being of every employee was a real priority, people were trusted to manage their time and encouraged to take breaks, which created a healthy and productive environment. It made me realize how much I enjoy working in a place that values both efficiency and well-being. It also opened my eyes to how broad engineering can be, and how much more I still want to learn. The experience really inspired me to keep growing, keep studying, and look for new international opportunities in the future.
