Work

I designed a device called thyratron which is a tube filled with gas and used either to control a load or to rectifier an AC power source. Thyratron was invented during world war two, it was used in radar devices. The work helps me to gain new skills as I expected.

Experience

My daily life during the internship was changing regarding the other responsibilities that I have. Because of the working hours per week were 15 hours, I was a bit flexible on the weekdays that I should work in, so I was studying three days a week, 5 hours a day.

All the tasks that I had done were research tasks which are similar to self-study, so you have to have skills in order to do that. I did not have all the skills needed for the research process but during the first two weeks, I managed to gain them, and this is what IAESTE is for.
