Work
In Bolivia, I had the opportunity to do an internship for 3 months at UNIVALLE de Cochabamba, in the Department of Oil, Gas and Energy. As a Chemical Engineer and master's student in Materials Science and Engineering, I was able to assist in the development of research projects, development of new laboratory practices and analytical programs of disciplines.
Experience
The local culture is very specific, the parties and parades where everyone is dressed in folk costumes are frequent and the Bolivians are very friendly, they welcomed me very well. Cochabamba is definitely a place where you live to eat and not vice versa, there is food for all occasions. Foods are also part of their culture, and yet it is not so far from Brazil, preparations and types of food are very different due to altitude.
Discover
During the time I was in Bolivia, the presidential elections took place, and I was able to witness a milestone in the country, where, due to a vote count fraud, a general strike seized the country for 21 days, where people new elections, and finally, people won. It was a pleasure to be part of this story. Finally, I just have to thank my stay here in Bolivia, I learned a lot in the professional, personal and cultural area.
