Work

My work is about the spatial data analysis of the forest fires in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. Though, I am not familiar in this area I have learned a lot through my professor during this internship. it was a wonderful experience in analysing this forest fires which is a major concern for global warming. This analysis will help the government agency to take preventive measures against this environmental hazard.

Experience

I live in the republica, with other 8 girls which is near to the university. The girls at my house were very kind. In general, the Brazilians are so good, helpful and concerned. It was very cool to attend the Portuguese language classes which were offered for the foreigners in my college. I loved the famous Brazilian cheese bread which is called Pao de Queijo, and the brigadeiros (the best chocolate dessert). I would surely miss them when I return back to India. They organised a few trips like hiking, and visit the inhotim museum where we could meet other interns from different countries and know about their culture.

Discover

Exploring the new cities will give a fresh and renewed mind. This is my first international trip and I made friends from more than 15 countries. At last, I found myself ended up as an independent and courageous person. Thank you so much IAESTE Brazil and IAESTE India for providing me with this beautiful opportunity!
