How it works

Students from non-member countries can apply for the internships found on this website (Please follow the steps outlined below) and in many cases, employers can still offer internships.

Step 1 - Register on our Exchange PlatformArrow dropdown

Register on our Exchange Platform by clicking the link below. Choose "Global" as the country of your location. Once you're registered you will be contacted by a member of our team to discuss your requirements.

Step 2 - Tell us your requirementsArrow dropdown

Let us know what you need - this might include study field, level of studies, language skills, specialisation, dates, period etc. You can enter these details by creating an 'offer' on our Exchange Platform.

Check details

Step 3 - Receive NominationsArrow dropdown

Once we know what you're looking for, we will share the details with our global network and invite them to nominate candidates. We will then check the candidate's details to ensure they meet the requirements you have stipulated and if forward suitable nominations to you for you to evaluate. PLEASE NOTE: For Employers in Non-Member countries we are restricted to which countries we can send you candidates from by local laws regarding visas and work permits. We will discuss this with you prior to sharing your internship opportunity.

Step 4 - Accepting a candidate & relevant processesArrow dropdown

If you find a candidate/s that you like you may wish to interview them and this can be arranged. If you decide to accept the candidate/s then we will assist the student by providing detailed information on what to expect from the internship and any preparations that are needed concerning local rules/regulations. We will also assist the student to find suitable accommodation for the duration of their stay, although we may ask for your assistance with this.

Step 5 - During & after the internshipArrow dropdown

We will be in regular communication with the student throughout their internship. We will try to connect them with other interns in your country and where possible invite them to IAESTE events that are close enough by. After the internship, we will ask you and the student to evaluate it with a view to offering future internships through IAESTE.
