Let's ask about the IAESTE past & future

We were delighted to meet and talk to Prof. Abdallah Sfeir, the former IAESTE General Secretary from 1991 to 1997, during last IAESTE Annual Conference in Berlin. Take a look at the interview to learn of the importance of exchange programmes like IAESTE for the reputation of a university nowadays and more, and how one student in 80’s managed to go to Lebanon by motorbike without any visa.

Prof. Abdallah Sfeir studied engineering in France, then went on to graduate studies in the US completing his Master of Science and PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California (UC), Berkeley. He was elected as General Secretary of the IAESTE from 1991 to 1997. He has published books and papers in the areas of fluid mechanics, thermal sciences and computer algebra and other topics.
