Experience

My stay in Manipal,a student town in India, was a transformative experience for both my personal and professional life. I had the chance to immerse myself in local customs and traditions, enriching my understanding and appreciation. The people I interacted with played an important role in shaping this experience. Simultaneously, in the academic realm, the exchange of knowledge and exposure to diverse learning methodologies expanded my perspective within my field of study. Beyond that, I tried to share my own Colombian culture, delving into its language, customs and traditions that define us as Colombians. However, the most significant aspect was the personal growth I achieved. Adapting to new situations, overcoming language barriers, and navigating an unfamiliar environment enhanced my resilience and self-confidence. In essence, it wasn't merely an educational journey but a pivotal chapter in my personal history. The lessons acquired, friendships forged, and the deepened appreciation for cultural diversity continue to influence my daily life. This experience not only educated me about the world but also provided profound insights into myself, leaving me with lasting memories and a more comprehensive worldview. Representing the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia in an internship in metallurgical engineering fills me with pride. It opens doors for new students eager to engage in similar opportunities, contributing to the growth and development of our academic commun. Thanks to IAESTE for this opportunity.
